The new Prince2® extension, Prince2® Agile, was recently launched in June 2015 and has been developed to combine the flexibility and responsiveness of agile delivery with the established and proven best practice framework of Prince2, which is the world’s most recognized project management method.

PRINCE2® makes agile more effective by offering a structured and contro ed approach to agile delivery and helps to overcome barriers for organisations applying agile and the lack of wider governance and control that can put projects and budgets at risk.

PRINCE2® Agile will also guide practitioners on how to apply agile methods to PRINCE2® in the most effective way to create a complete mix of best practices.

How Prince2® Agile will benefit your organisation:

  • PRINCE2® Agile can be applied to any type of project within any industry sector.
  • Organisations can develop a clear definition of how agile can oversee a project’s delivery, whilst PRINCE2 oversees projects as a whole.
  • Prince2® Agile will also be of interest for Programme Managers with MSP® who need to understand how projects relate to the delivery mechanism.
  • Prince2® Agile will give your organisation a broad understanding of a of the key agile concepts and how these blend seamlessly into the PRINCE2® methodology.

Prince2® Agile has been designed to help experienced PRINCE2 practitioners tailor management controls for agile development, while helping agile users understand PRINCE2® governance requirements.

For many organisations a qualified PRINCE2 Agile practitioner will provide the assurance that the use of both Prince2 Agile and Agile techniques will deliver the greatest outcomes, on time and in budget.

Prince2 Agile Pre-requisites

As this qualification is an extension unit aimed at supporting PRINCE2® Practitioners working in an agile environment, prior knowledge of PRINCE2® is required, therefore you must already have the PRINCE2® Practitioner certification in order to take the PRINCE2® Agile exam.

PRINCE2® Agile is supported by an exam and formal qualification.
